It is very easy to operate. This is a great GPS. The screen is great and is easy to see in the day with the bright sun. I've been using a Garmin Etrex, which I like but it's a little too small for a vehilce. I bought the Lowrance Baja 540c and mounted it in my Jeep. Get the Map create 7 or the freedom maps and the information is awesome. Find trails you didn't know was there and landmarks and other points of interest.
